Several similarities between my childhood and yours: I also was Pipi Longstocking for Halloween one year; I also had a signature "hairdo" but it was 2 braids a la Laura Ingalls. I got so sick of those braids and long hair (to my rear) that I got it cut into a feathered 'do in 5th grade. Worse than the feathered 'do was the boy-cut I got next. Ugh! Awful! Such fodder for ridicule from the other kiddos. :oP So cute!!!
