We Ec w/ our 6 month old. Started when he was about 4 months. Works great. This morning hes gone twice on cue (poo). No poopie diapers, yay! we use all cloth diapers 2.. so any time we can avoid a mess is wonderful! lol

We have the same potty you have except its the Baby Bjorn LITTLE potty.. same concept just a little smaller :-)

Good post, lots of neat info.

I am weird and you started it! If it weren't for my crunchy sister in law I would have never thought to do things like use cloth diapers or wear a baby in a sling. Crunch on!

Wow - you are so brave for posting about EC on your blog. People are going to start thinking that you're weird or something. (he-he)

Great! I started putting Trey on the potty when he was 6 months old. I hadn't planned to do that, but that night I had undressed him and was taking him to the bath and I knew he was about to go, so I just put him on the potty and he went! Soon after that we potty a smaller seat for him to make it easier. We haven't really pushed for him to be fully trained, but now he does usually wake up from naps dry and then will go #1 and/or #2 on the potty very quickly! I would say he almost always goes when we put him on it.

Erin, I think I timed the #2 very well. She was going in teh next 30 seconds whether or not I had put her on the toilet. If it had taken any time I am sure she would not have sat there long enough to go.

Alice I had no idea you tried EC though I knew you were using cloth. Maybe now that Micah is older you can try it again. Or, wait until Silas is ready and try to train them at the same time.

Soooo impressed! You've got to tell me more about what you learn from that book. Dax is so waffly about the toilet, some days great others no way - but never #2 potty. Way to go Katherine!
